Expecting Trumpets

Okay, this is my first blogging attempt. I've had this blog site for a while but never brought myself to write on it because I had rebelled against this blogging thing. But it's amazing how kids will change your life. I now think this is a great way for family and friends to be informed of Corrina's progress. (and just another avenue to glorify our Father.) So, just for their sake (haha) I have broken down and started posting. Admittedly, I do enjoy this.

Before I write about my precious little girl, did anyone else think they'd see our Lord return last night? Actually, we thought someone was breaking into our house at first. We heard our bedroom window rattling, and Jimmy, in his brave protective husband fashion, dove over me to protect me while we stared with uncertainty at the window. But, when the whole house started moving, we thought it was some crazy strong wind. Jimmy got out of bed--again being very brave--and reported that there really wasn't any wind. He finally deduced that it must've been an earthquake. Being satisfied that no one was trying to get us and corrina was still tucked safely away, sleeping through it all, I was able to drift back to sleep, but not before I listened for the trumpets. Imagine if our Lord had returned last night!

And now...in the far corner, we have the sweet, the adorable, the strong, the drooling, 4-month-old Corrina May, weighing in at 17 lbs. 4 oz at a height of 26". I'm pretty sure she is in the heavyweight category but at least she is proportionate, being at the top of the charts in both weight and height. She continues to sleep all night for which we are grateful. She has rolled over a few times but her new thing is trying to pull herself up off the ground into sitting position using the bird hanging from her playmat. It's really cute! She tries to put him in her mouth but gets frustrated because she can't quite get up there. She also really likes her jumperoo. (Thanks Aunt Darla and Cousin Angie!) She tries to sing now too; I say it's singing even though it really sounds like high pitched squealing...okay, maybe she's just doing her pig impression.

Ok, I think I've written enough for my first post. I should ease into it, right? Until next post, peace to you from the Lord above.
